Broom finish is the workhorse: honest traction wet or dry, the friendliest price, and it reads clean next to any style of house. Exposed aggregate buys texture and stone character for a little more, and hides leaf stains better than anything. Stamped and colored concrete is the premium lane — slate and random-stone patterns with integral color that give you the look of a stone patio at a fraction of stone’s installed cost, and it never needs re-leveling.

Two things stamped buyers should hear up front: color and pattern choices are permanent, so we sample before we pour; and a sealed stamped surface wants re-sealing every few years to keep its color deep — a maintenance rhythm, not a defect. Texas sun is the main aging force, so we spec UV-stable sealers and talk honestly about which colors hold.
